Panch
Man, there is some AWESOME shit out there! These fast food joints will do ANYTHING to get folks in the door and I'm grateful! This thread is to share (and torture Jay with) these amazing creations. So post your favorite crap from from all your favorite places! I'll start with two of my faves: Micky D's McGriddle It's a pancake breakfast sandwich. I can feel my heart expanding when I eat it and I still don't care! KFC's Double Down It's a fuckin' bacon and cheese sandwich WITH CHICKEN AS THE BREAD! HOLY CRAP! I'm gonna go eat one now... AND DIE... HAPPY! Reverend Jax
People in Miami are probably not familiar with Friendly's, but there are a family casual dining chain, slightly more upscale than Denny's, but not nearly as fancy as an Applebee's. Anyway, here is there relatively new Hamburger. What's the gimmick you ask? Well, see how long it takes you to spot it:
Panch
AMAZING! Two grilled cheese BURGER! Where's Friendly's again?
Reverend Jax
AMAZING! Two grilled cheese BURGER! Where's Friendly's again? They're an East Coast chain. I checked their website, and there are some in Florida, but the southernmost one is in Palm Beach county. You could probably find on if you go visit Solara. Ya'lls might want to check this place out... http://foodbeast.com/content/ Edited October 27, 2010 by HypnotizinChikns
Mr. Hakujin
Oh fookin' shyte, meng! I used to be addicted to McGriddles. I had one for breakfast every morning before work for months. Then I budgeted and ate the Jimmy Dean versions instead, which were an adequate, but not equally delicious substitute. Well, see how long it takes you to spot it: Rhode Island, where there are only 2 Denny's (a Family Guy Joke that is sadly true) and 40+ Friendly's. And of the two, Denny's is more high-class. Panch
Speaking of Denny's... Denny's fried cheese melt Mozzarella sticks in a melt? Sigh me up!
Benz
Friendly's is awesome!!! Here's my 2 faves from there: Zesty Queso Burgermelt And Honey BBQ Chicken Supermelt

Benz
Holy shit! I need some Friendly's! Yeah, bro. If you're ever up our way, we'll definitely take you there. (P.S. The melted cheese in the queso burger? Nacho Cheese!) Other restaurants not found in Florida, but that are good: D'angelos. I love their Number 9 sub: Their Thanksgiving Toasted is just how it sounds... Thanksgiving on a sub. (Normally I'm not into turkey, but it's that damn good.) They're compareable to Subrageous in Miami, but I think D'angelos is better.

That one is so freaking fantastic, just like thanksgiving, lays you out too... damn triptophan.
Visitant
Firehouse subs, I just discovered these guys. What makes them special? They STEAM their bread instead of over baking it in a grill or microwave of some kind. I love me some bread and the way they steam it keeps the fresh out of the oven bread flavor. Well, see how long it takes you to spot it: I had this sin on a bun the week it came out...was good, but nothing to order over & over again...I asked for no lettuce/tomato so that may be why it wasn't fabulous but I don't like that sort of garnish in my meal. It ended up being two skinny grilled-cheese sandwiches and a burger patty... I'll stick to the cheesy fries and a sundae...I would compare Friendly's to a lower-scale Swensen's... Maldron
You NEED a garnish on something like that, otherwise all you get is oil and rich and heavy, and it can feel too much. Also, the buns ARE the sin.

Maldron
They're supposed to be everywhere now. They're definitely in the nearby mcdonalds where I live. I mean... they're hard to find! Nobody has them but me. Road trip?
Panch
They ain't here, that's all I know. Need me some McRib.
HypnotizinChikns
yeah it's weird, the town over has the mc rib, but our local one doesn't.
Panch
The closest one to Miami is in Cape Coral. Who's up for a road trip? See if you're closer and send me one!

We only have 2 McDonald's in town and I can't vouch for the one on Main St, but the one in the center of town says "McRib Is Here!" on their restaurant sign...
