Next Week: Deep Purple - "Space Truckin'" James Gang - "Funk #49" Jethro Tull - "Hymn 43" Snow Patrol - "Take Back the City" $2 each I'm particularly psyched about Hymn 43. Back in the GH days, when I played the plastic guitar, I really wanted Funk #49. I'm less excited about it as a drummer though. HypnotizinChikns Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 I did pick up DOA last week, and it's been a blast, I also grabbed some No doubt songs, I just got the RB2 kit, so now i have all of the RB2 controls/instruments. i won't get any country songs unless something really stands out. So far I'm still in the top five for Young Man Blues, and I've gold starred on 9 songs (vocals- 'Call Me', Blondie was the crown acheivement for me) total. I give up on score duels, too many people drop out if they can't win, and it's annoying as hell, so I think I only rank 20...if that. The NZA Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 so, we got RB2 drums! theyre really awesome. i know im late to the party here, but theyre quieter & sturdier, so cool. sen wants to keep the drumsticks from the old kit though, seems to like them better. hopefully we can manage cymbals sometime when theyre more available, but uh, anyone know a good deal on rock band 2? While I haven't seen a screen grab, several site are saying these are the songs: 01/06 Rumored Roy Orbison DLC tracks: Claudette In Dreams Mean Woman Blues Oh, Pretty Woman Ooby Dooby You Got It 01/13 Rumored Lenny Kravitz tracks: Are You Gonna Go My Way Freedom Train Let Love Rule Mr. Cab Driver 01/20 Rumored Steve Miller Band tracks: Space Cowboy The Joker If true, we've got some cool DLC this month. Reverend Jax Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 OK, so there the rumors I posted weeks ago of Kravitz and Miller songs were true, as well as various other songs. The week following that was a second Grateful Dead pack, then last week was a Thin Lizzy pack, along with Benatars's Hit Me With Your Best Shot and a Pretenders' song called Precious, which I love, but was not a hit, so will not be nearly as fun for parties as Benatar. Anyway, they announced that Pearl Jam's debut album Ten would be coming in March, but I just found out that if you pre-order the Deluxe Reissue of Ten at Best Buy, you get a code to get three Pearl Jam songs, live versions of Alive, State of Love & Trust, and the song Brother. GH now has two CCR songs, Commotion and Up Around The Bend, which I like, but RB still has Fortunate Son. So many CCR songs that would be so great for this game (can you say Travelin Band?). I am really jealous of Black Betty though. I'm also jealous of GH getting Jet by the Wings and Born To Run by Springsteen. Still, the Boys Are Back In Town and Hit Me With Your Best Shot are going to be two party favorites. Friday is when HMX makes their announcement for next week's DLC. What is confirmed is Pearl Jam's Ten for March. Springsteen is promoting his new album now, and Steven Van Zandt is a consultant for Harmonix, so I just don't see how the Boss wouldn't make his way over to Rock Band. Anyway, the 3 songs are Turbonegro – Wasted Again White Zombie – More Human Than Human White Zombie – Black Sunshine I loved White Zombie's Astro-Creep 2000 album back in my younger days, so I might pick up both, but the one I will definitely get is More Human Than Human. If you think you are not familiar with this song, you are mistaken. It is a staple of action movie trailers. I've wanted this song since GH1. This week has a song I've wanted since Guitar Hero 1 (Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar) and a song Joel has repeatedly called necessary (Don't Stop Believing by Journey). The Journey song has plenty for the singer to have fun with, and it will surely be at least as fun at parties as More Than A Feeling, but the other players, but I suppose that's just in the beginning of the song, and it's more important that the song be fun than for it take have notes flying at you every second of the song.
