alive she cried Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 ok now so we have the iframes installed all over the board, we need to decide how long sigs can be before the iframes kick in. i think they should be big enough to display two large pictures
Lycaon Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Define large. I wouldn't much care for the cut off to be big enough for the pic in my Knoll sig to be posted twice before you need to scroll to see anything else. That seems too much, in my opinion.
alive she cried Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 that's reasonable enough i think. c'mon compare that to jax's old and current sigs
Lycaon Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 that's reasonable enough i think. c'mon compare that to jax's old and current sigs And shrunken as that is, it still seems too big for my tastes. Just say'n.
The NZA Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 yeah, i dunno ASC - if that size was cool, woudlnt people fall back on the page-down-scrolling argument again? way i see it, if we need more space than for one of those images, im not certain why the iframes at all.
alive she cried Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 so what size would you suggest? yeah, i dunno ASC - if that size was cool, woudlnt people fall back on the page-down-scrolling argument again? way i see it, if we need more space than for one of those images, im not certain why the iframes at all.to prevent jax length sigs,as far as i can remember it was only his sig that people were complaining about
The NZA Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 aw, see, that was what i was trying to avoid - the religion thing was central to jax, for some, but the sig thing, he was a symbol but not the only offender, i thought. anyway. again, this is one of the things that's open to a democratic vote here, so if you think 2x that image is ample space, get more to chime in. god knows the last sig poll was damn near a deadlock so mebbe this'll be more in unison.
alive she cried Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 i'm just lookin' for enough room to allow some creativity, at the moment it's nowhere near that
the division of joy Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 For me the size of one of those pictures would be pretty perfect.
Stilly Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 One of the pictures (with the auto-size on) comes out to right around 400 px. Here's a handy size chart of the proposed options:
the division of joy Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I think DoJ's proposal seems fair Stern. Stern but fair.
alive she cried Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 i'm at 800 at doj is at 400 how's about we split the difference and go with 600 that's less than one scroll if i'm not mistaken
Silent Bob Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I think 400 is the best option, but I could live with 600.
HypnotizinChikns Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I think 300 is fine, but i could live with 400.
archangel Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 MH, we may need to change this poll to reflect the different sizes people can vote on, but as a check instead of a straight choice since they have ranges of acceptability.
the division of joy Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I'm not too pushed, but for the sake of creativity, 400 would be pretty good. not to pimp my own suggestion or anything.
Stilly Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Personally, I think either "350" or "400" would be best. Not trying to make the debate personal or anything, but I think anything over about 450 would be far too much.
Lorelei Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 the guy with the quaran text sig makes my scrolling finger tired
archangel Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 that's our resident Islamic Fundamentalist. Here at Hondo's, we make inroads into all cultures and points of views
Reverend Jax Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I think 2,348 would be best, but I can live with 2,348.
archangel Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 hahaha silly Extreemist, thinking he has an opinion that matters! Silly goose.
alive she cried Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 ok i added a new question, but anybody who has already voted can't vote in the question. can someone reset the votes?
