  1. Just got the last one and the #16 I was missing, gonna make time to read thru the lot soon.
  2. I got the first 3 Cla$$war's, the first showed a lot of promise but I didn't think the next two held up. As far as I know it's indefinitely stalled at #3 cos they need a new artist, Hairsine completely jumped ship and left them hanging, I'll read em again before I decide whether I'll continue buying it... That 30 Days of Night sounds fairly cool though, I'll keep an eye out for that.
  3. Saw this yesterday, as usual Junker's said most of it already. As IC said it was good to see Neeson in it, also good to see Brendan Gleeson in a strong supporting role, a great Irish character actor who doesn't get enough good roles, hopefully he'll get a career boost from this. An interesting moral: SPOILER...Americans seek to fight a 'foreign threat' when in the end the real threat is their own government. ...SPOILER
  4. 'til someone comes along on a mission and yells "bitch!" - Eminem, Without Me
  5. Not bad but I reckon the tools at your disposal let you down a bit. The beats, basslines and samples were all a bit '95 (unless you Americans have only evolved that far through dance music?!). I'd have lost a lot of the vocal samples, you virtually announced every change in the song, maybe you should let the music flow into the next bit rather than using what seems a diversionary tactic. I did a pretty good one on MTV Music generator for Ps1 (I think it's the same one you mean IC, but it's just called 'Music' here, some licensing shit, is the one you mean made by Codemasters?) that Jont remixed even better, but I don't know of any way of transfering it to mp3. ???
  6. Cos you're a bit slow? Did you graduate? :sly:
  7. Just to clarify cos I think you may've got your wires crossed JMT and SoF: Liam is the wanker lead singer/penispianist who walked out on Unplugged, Noel is the not-as-much-of-a-wanker-but-still-a-wanker guitarist/songwriter/sometimes lead singer. Umm, just wanted to say that, wasn't thinking of graduation songs....uh, Alice Cooper - School's Out?
  8. I am dishonoured as a ronin and Kogi Kaishakunin to say I've not read past vol 18 or so, I've bought up to the penultimate vol 27 with the last one held for me 30 miles away, damnit, I'm buying my now lost vol 16 again and reading from scratch as I've always promised myself I would do...no spoilers, I'ma gonna read the lot through, in one sitting on a day off if possible!
  9. 'Don't Panic' from Parachutes is their one good song, the rest are mediocre to bad, imltho...
  10. The original, remake or both? And did you hear that there may be an American remake of The Eye?
  11. No, the bit before it with the film breaking up, then the insane screaming woman, tell me you saw that?!
  12. Oh lord won't you buy me a 48" TV My bro-in-law's got one and its getting to me I know that it's bigger than my eye can see But lord won't you buy me a 48" TV Oh lord won't you buy me some Dolby Surround Shit ain't worth watching unless it shakes the ground Our house is detached with no neighbours around So lord won't you buy me some Dolby Surround Interesting as to who capitalises lord...
  13. The elevator scene kicks ass, "get off my chair" isn't bad either! I liked the big ending but then there are explosions. And did you catch the start?!
  14. Hmmm, B+B but there's Jackass too and over here at least there's Ren+Stimpy. Celebrity Deathmatch isn't bad either.
  15. "It's not a monster movie, it's a supernatural thriller!" Ed Wood gets the vote tho I might've been tempted by Donnie Brasco or Benny and Joon.
  16. Fight Club with 12 Monkeys a close second. Shame Snatch and Kalifornia aren't on there but I'd still have voted Fight Club. And by the way, on the subject of actors getting accents right, I know many times you may think they've got it right, to someone from there they sound terrible. I live right beside lots ofsettled pikeys and I can tell you he was spot on in Snatch.
  17. I voted Ghost World, as a movie The Big Lebowski is one of my favorites ever but Buscemi's performance in Ghost World beats it. As for cameos, Buscemi has Adam Sandler movies, Coen Bros movies, Desperado, etc, can't think of any Macy cameos off hand. He deserves a poll too, and Happy, Texas has to be on it.
  18. Grosse Point Blank, he was the coolest fucker ever in it! On a sidenote, the fight in the school is one of the best fight scenes ever, two guys that can fight going at it as it would happen in life.
  19. I wanna go see Bowling for Columbine, Michael Moore kicks ass, he had his own show in the UK for a while. Aside from that Danny (Trainspotting) Boyle's zombie flick 28 Days Later is out in a few days and reviews have been good!
  20. Chris Morris's (creator of Blue Jam, part of which is on my sig currently) piss take of the Pixies, Motherbanger. It sounds spot on for the Pixies, it's one of my favorite songs let alone comedy songs. "One, two, three, well my mother is a whore, lemme tell you more..."
  21. I didn't like Vapor Trails and they don't sound like I'd like em musically but 3 hours is a serious fucking gig, glad you'd a good un! :approve:
