He is using a program called ReNoize...it's a great program with a more mathematical approach to making beats and music, but still lets you flex your creative muscles...Venetian Snares also uses this program for some of his songs at least...just thought someone might want to know...

Heh, that's awesome! I need to go re-read this series with Ryan as The Smiler. Still a good series even with all the obvious inspiration. If you just take it for what it is and don't try to lump all this real world stuff on to it, it is a good series. Humbug to all the naysayers!

AC3 is pretty good so far. I just got past the 3 hour "intro" so basically I just started the real game, but I like the new setting a lot.

So it wasn't what I thought. Without discussing it or leaking any spoilers I will just say this. It did not feel like 3 hours. I have been to movies where after 30 min I am dying to go smoke a cig, and for this one, none of that. That being said I would love to see something further with just Sun Mee 451 and the "far future" place that "worshipped her" (no spoilers in that). I know they pretty much covered everything, but it would have been great to see how Sun Mee affected her own time. I know that wasn't the point, so don't call me on that, I get it... But all in all I enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind a 6 hour directors cut honestly, and thankfully there is a book where I should hopefully get a more in-depth look at everyone and everything. Wasn't the groundbreaking, visual spectacle I was expecting, but it ended up being much more.

Wife and I are going to go see this in a few hours from now. A couple of people on my facebook page have been saying wonderful things about this, plus what you guys have been saying makes me look forward to it enough to get past having to be out in public and having to interact with society and such. That and I got some damn good smoke from the most outrageous of places so, yeah, baked I will be. Helps with the people thing.

Well since Duke Nukem Forever came out we need a new game to point and laugh at for never being finished...

So I have been reduced to just browsing BakaBT and downloading stuff that looks interesting, but does anyone keep up to date on Anime these days that could suggest some good ones? I've recently gotten Beezlebub, R-15, Another, Binbougami Ga, some of the Fate/Stay stuff, and a bunch of others that are names I don't want to try and spell. Haven't watched any yet tho.

When I had a pull list...it had Crossed, Gravel and Kick-Ass on it...since then I have decided I will only buy comics in TPB or Omnibus....

Just wanted to revisit Vangaurd and it's 5 years saga to become a playable mmo. Aside from some grouping bug, it is definately a LOT better than it was at launch (one would hope). I've not experienced any bugs as of yet, which is really something if you knew the history of this game. But you can't really say a game is good because they finally got the bugs out, but if you are looking for something like the Eq1 of old, without having to pay (why EQ1 isn't f2p yet I'll never know) this might be a good place to start. You can get to lvl 20 with any class/race and a few let you bypass the lvl cap for free. Don't go in expecting WoW, or GW, this is a decidedly old-school mmo experience, but if you were ever a fan, this might do it for you when you want to go back.

Just go read the wiki for plot for the book for Cloud Atlas...I am just trying to decide if I should read it before I get Tom Hanks and what's her name in my head as the faces of the characters...

I dunno, hearing Bill Hicks and George Carlin being autotuned and having one of Bill's greatest monologues ever turned into a "song," half of me is trying to justify it as saying "well even if it gets just one more person to listen to and/or like Hicks/Carlin I can't complain, but the other half of me is thinking they are probably rolling in their graves when people do this kind of thing to their stand-up. +1 for the coolness of the people and message, -1 for auto-tune

Now I have really no sympathy for Amanda Todd for killing herself.
