The new characters were given priority. However, this approach on its own would have ended up with poor balance in terms of speed, power, gender and other areas, so they used the MVC2 characters to support the cast. But still half of the marvel side were xmen since they kicked the most arse back when the original non-cross overs were created. I'm already disappointed in this game's character inclusion since I just know guys like gambit, cyclops, rogue, iceman, or juggernaut aren't gonna make the cut. This game is sick but still im crying... on the outside. PS I was reeeeeally disappointed when they used the kids voice in megaman 8.. and they stuck with it ever since... ughz man UGH! they couldn't use the voice from the show? like they did for xmen cota??? On eventhubs.com there was a big explosion about a new leaked roster from a guy's twitter who claimed the following: viperkiller Listen I'm only gonna be here for maybe 3 days, Ill start off by saying that we will be getting reveals on Wednesday and on the 11th... TRUST ME!!!! Frank west is in the Game and we will be Seeing him Sooner then you think ; ) As for Mega man we will have to wait A little While to see him She Hulk and Zero aren't in Episode 4 there actually in the Continuation of Episode 2, 2.5 i guess you can call it.. there will be 10 Characters left to be Revealed..... Heres the final Capcom Characters Frank west, Hsien KO, Akuma, Mike Haggar and Mega Man EXE.... Revealed in that Order.... As for Marvel we have Ms. Marvel, Phoenix, Taskmaster , Elektra, and Sentinel to round up the Marvel Side. Possible DLC's that have been Tossed up were Venom, Psylocke, Iron Fist, Mega man X, Soki and Roll Just in case you guys were Wondering The Phoenix has a Counter part Jean of Course,she is a trap character that utilizes many Flaming traps one of her Hypers I think was actually taken from the X men movie anyone remember what she did to Professor X? also for the Elektra fans out their, she is very quick and easily able to be throw into most combos She and X23 are Both rush down Characters that play some what similar but have many different combos, Elektra wise she Utilizes Ninja stars (Con't) ,blade and her Infamous Sais as Projectiles, and her play style is very Reminiscent of SF4 Ibuki, even down to one of her Hypers Mega man Classic was actually considered to be the Mega man for this game but some Issues in production caused him to almost be cut, (Con't) and Mega man EXE was chosen last minute One of Mike Haggar Hypers is an Atomic Pile driver Yes Ms.marvel does share some of rogues moves from MvC 2 but she play similar to she hulk in the power scale... (con't) she uses many Beams as well and one of her Hypers is very Similar to Cyclops in MvC 2 Nothing different for Sentinel he pretty much the same character he was in MvC 2, other they a new and different Hyper this time around As for Frank himself some of his Moves were tweeted a bit but I'm sure all you fans will enjoy him Metro City will be revealed in a Gameplay video with Frank and Ms.Marvel reveal, similar to the way The Hands Hideout was reveal with Storm Wolverine gets his own stage, and No it isn't The Hand Hideout stage that Stage belong to another Character.. Mega man EXE will get a pretty cool Move set.... Any Questions Ask away i'm here until weds. Oh something I forgot Akuma is another Character that gets a Tweeting on his move set!! Questions answered by Seth about Phoenix. 1) Since Phoenix has a very low health what advice could you give us on how using her? Don't get hit Sounds like I'm kidding, but I'm not. She's a beast on offense, but can't take a hit, so yeah. If you're the kind of player that doesn't mind taking a few hits to get into that sweet spot, Phoenix is not really for you. You might give similar advice to someone playing Strider in MVC2 (though she doesn't play like Strider). 2) Her healing shield have some defense proprieties? or only heals her? No defensive properties, and it only heals her while an opponent is touching the field. That is to say if you try and activate it and run, you won't heal yourself at all. Healing has to be incorporated into her rush/block strings to have a significant effect. 3) Can we use Dark Phoenix for unlimited time in the training mode? Yes. 4) Can Dark Phoenix tag out? Will she still loose health if she tag out or will heal like everyone else? She heals like everybody else when she tags out. When you call D Phoenix as an assist, her assist move also gets her "Dark Phoenix" bonus too (e.g. 2 fireballs instead of one). 5) What the X-Factor does to Dark Phoenix? X-Factor affects everyone a little differently, but it doesn't give Phoenix a unique additional buff--she's already terrifying enough. Changes happen to games over the course of development and Frank's future isn't necessarily yet written one way or the other. So anyway, the "tweets" of a character alias lupinko apparently have been predicting the roster right down to the letter. and for those that want to know the last two are infact Sentinel and Hsien-Ko(Darkstalkers 2) and the Sub-bosses will alternate between Dr. Doom, Wesker, Akuma, and Dormammu. Sure Sentinel was tier one material in MVC2, but he's not someone JohnQ is going to get excited about. And Hsien-Ko? I know the cheevos refer to 3 darkstalkers charaters and she's as good as any I suppose. It just seems saving these two for last seems super anti-climactic for one of the most anticipated games of the last decade!
