Little Nemo McFly
These trailers keep showing more and more - STOP! Having said that - it all looks sooooo goooood. LOL - I wish that trailer would've just keep going and just play the full movie! Can't wait to own and study... It looks rich and thought-out. This movie is gonna be huge. Y'know the sequel is just gonna be bigger and louder - exciting. I forget, is Spidey confirmed for Infinity War?
The NZA
i shouldn't have watched that, but i had to all the tech suit talk broke me, and everything there looks great - a wise-cracking spider-man, finally! next up we'll have a batman who's an actual detective also:
Little Nemo McFly
Wow - Spidey and color. I miss those guys! Is that Favreau down there? That dude must be damn proud. 'Iron Man' worked, dude...big time. BIG TIME.
Mr. Hakujin
Yeah, not watching that trailer, but that poster is great! It's reminiscent of the first Iron Man poster, which I'm sure is no mistake. And the more I see this current Spidey costume the more I dig it.
Keth
Really guys? That poster is a clusterfuck of bad photoshop. Iron Mans is similar yeah, but tasteful and simple. Side by side the Iron Man suit and RDJ look great, but Spideys shows the actors outside of the costumes AND the costumes just thrown up on the page. Its a random hodgepodge of actors and screams "IRON MAN IS IN THIS TOO, ITS ALL THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE NOT SONY GUUUUUUUYS". Marvel can and should strive for better posters. I hate that it is always used for comparison, but look at Guardians ok of the Galaxy. #triggered

The NZA
yeah, i'm with axles here - can't wait for the flick, but the poster looks way too crowded.

Little Nemo McFly
They gotta be careful w/ the 'emoting w/ the goggles' - I'll say it, it was a bit cartoonish @ 0:35. LOL - I've officially entered the 'concerned zoned' w/ this movie, but it all looks great. I cringe at these celeb cameos. Please, don't let that be in the movie. I hope this was just a one-off for...fuck, this is probably in the movie.
Da Cap'n 2099
Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland has confirmed a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan theory - and revealed a little bit of the MCU's secret history in the process. According to the star, Peter Parker's appearance in the MCU secretly predates Captain America: Civil War, going all the way back to Iron Man 2.The fan theory holds that a young boy who stares down a Stark robot while wearing an Iron Man mask in Iron Man 2 was secretly none other than Peter Parker. While that could have remained a simple bit of fan speculation, Holland outright confirmed the connection. “I can confirm that as of today," Holland told Entertainment Weekly. "I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big, old spoiler, but it’s out there now. It’s cool. I like the idea that Peter Parker has been in the universe since the beginning.” Edited June 26, 2017 by The NZA
Visitant
Huh. I mean, it really does not change anything the grand scale of things but it's cute they are trying to make sure that everyone feels like spider-man has always been a part of the MCU. (now if they could just decide if the rest of those movies will be...that'd be greeeeeat)
Keth
That was the best part of Iron Man 2. Its just that much cooler now.
Drifter
I think it helps explains the Ironman hero worship that Parker displays in the MCU. In the comics Stark was more of a employer and mentor to Parker but Captain America was always Spiderman's personal hero and moral compass; and is a major part of why he switched sides in the first civil war series. Now we have a better idea why Spidey sticks with Stark throughout the whole thing in the movies. Edited June 26, 2017 by Drifter
Little Nemo McFly
I forget who in here threw that idea up - but I always loved the notion that the kid was Pete. I wonder if they'll touch on Pete's view of Cap - in 'Homecoming'. My impression of Spidey is a Spidey who idolized Cap. Think that'd be kew if they work that in there. LOL - now I'm officially pumped for 'Homecoming'.

Da Cap'n 2099
Gonna say it: Best. Spider-Man. Movie. Ever.
Donatella
This one was a LOT of fun! Most fun I've had at a Marvel movie since the first Guardians. I thought they nailed the high school vibe, it was hilarious and the action was great. I felt it lagged a bit toward the end, probably went on a bit too long (as they all do), but by far the best Spidey movie I've seen. And can I get a HALLELUJAH for a lovable Peter Parker again! Andrew Garfield's Peter was such a douchebag, it was refreshing to see a witty, wisecracking, adorable Peter again!
Mr. Hakujin
I finally saw this last night and I have to say it was definitely the most fun I've ever had watching a Spidey movie. It's really second only to the first GOTG film in the sheer fun I had while watching it. I'd really have to rewatch Raimi's Spider-Man 2 before I could call Homecoming the "best" Spider-Man film though. But these two Spidey films certainly are damn close in overall quality. So, IMHO, it's not hyperbole at all when Panch says it's the best Spidey film of all time. You can make very, very solid arguments for that. I'll also say that this film is probably the only superhero film ever to really capture the tone of what it must be like for a young superhero. The exuberance and ignorance. When I got into Spidey comics Peter was already a married man, so I never read any high school Spidey comics until Miles Morales. (Really never read the Bendis & Bagley Ultimate Spidey comics, but I played the hell outta that game on the XBox back in the day.) I think this film does a great job of blending a bit of that Ultimate Spidey vibe in with the MCU. There were so many great Easter eggs and name drops in this film, too. I washed a couple of YouTube vids today and caught even more. I obviously caught the subtle ?) Scorpion reference, but I did not know that Mac Gargan had also become Venom at some point in the comics. Shocker, Tinkerer, and Vulture are all alive for the sequel. MJ reveal was great. Nice little twist having Betty Brandt look like Gwen Stacey. Ned and his hat should've been on that fuckng poster. Probably my favorite though is Donald Glover as the Prowler! I knew he was going to be in the film from the trailer, but I didn't realize who he was playing and that they were going to set up Miles Morales in the MCU as well. Such a great meta moment having him technically make the first mention of Miles after all the stuff that went down around the time of Amazing Spiderman with him. Peter walking away from Tony's offer at the end and then that whole awkward moment with Pepper and the ring and Happy was just perfect. Now that's a fucking poster. I'll use that to segue into my few gripes about the film. Technically these aren't gripes so much as things I didn't even realize The film was missing until well after the show was over. There was zero mention of Spidey Sense! Hence why I said that poster would be a good segue because it's paying homage to the Spidey sense from the Comics and it absolutely does not show up at all in this film. I'm hoping the next Spidey film will focus on Peter's honing of his abilities and weaning himself from reliance on the Stark technology in his suit. Or maybe that will come in the next avengers film. Either way I think that would be a good story point to focus on. No J. Jonah Jameson or Daily Planet. I never missed either one of those in this film, it's just one of those things I only realized wasn't in the film after having seen it. Again, I think these are things that could be introduced in a sequel. Maybe update it and make the daily planet more of a Cable News Network and J Jonah more of a Rupert Murdoch or less perverted Roger Ailes type. Needed a little bit more Aunt May. Just like one more scene. Also, while it made for an absolutely fantastic segue into the closing credits. I'm not a big fan of her already knowing Peter is Spidey. No mention of Uncle Ben. This is probably my only real legitimate "gripe" about the film. Ben's death is the motivation, the bedrock for Peter becoming a superhero. To not even mention him or his influence on Peter in the film felt like a big error. Edited July 10, 2017 by Mr. Hakujin
Donatella
I was SO HAPPY not to see Uncle Ben have to die AGAIN. Much like I'm tired of watching Batman's parents get shot in every iteration, I'd rather not see Uncle Ben die again and again. This story takes place after Civil War, so he's already Spiderman, we all know how he got there and this wasn't an origin story. I thought he did allude to it when asking his buddy not to say anything because May had been through so much. That was enough for me. The NZA
+1 there - this proved we didn't need the origin yet again, was happy to pass on it was so happy to see glover (after the earlier rumors) that i honestly didn't catch the prowler reference, that's dope. i almost died between the cap PSA's and hannibal buress as the PE coach saying "he's like a war criminal by now but they make me show that" or whatever wiscracking, insecure pete who loves being spidey is the best take yet, really happy we're seeing more of this. really wish i'd seen less in earlier trailers but that's not a big knock here - this was just a lotta fun with a lot of talent about, and pete feeling like pete in what felt like actual NY around him. stuff like nailing romita Sr's costume just felt like icing on the cake. Keth
Best Spider-Man and my favorite Marvel movie yet. So fucking good. My favorite line, that just caught me off guard with how hilarious it was to me I was looking at...................... porn........ I fucking died and just thinking about it is making me giggle. I had one complaint. And that was that they didn't use this version of the song in the movie. Seriously I was so pumped when they used Blitzkrieg Bop, then they just.... reused it for the credits. Such a major missed opportunity to end the movie on such a big fist pump. Loved Keaton here too. Finally another good villain besides Loki. Just... God it was so much fun. Da Cap'n 2099
The film had many Iron Man 1 parallels. I think adding that song to the credits would have been too on the nose. If you watch the Red Letter Media review of Homecoming you'll see they praised it for NOT doing the thing you expected. I agree.
Keth
I will say, I got chills when the orchestral version started playing at the beginning. And having it as part of the score for the whole movie was real class.
