Nanno Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Tell us about your favourite sandwich fillers, what makes the ultimate sambo? Well mine is nothing out of the ordinary really. Brown, whole grain bread, with mayo spread on each slice. then some ham, cheese, onion, tomato, coleslaw. But if i'm feeling rather naughty or peckish i'll go for a packet of my favourite crisps, hunky dorys cheese and onion with a slice of processed cheese on white bread
Senshik Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Hehe. I looooooooooooooove subs!!!!! WITH almost EVERYTHING IN IT! WHole wheat bread, a lil bit of mayo, any kinds of greens available(lettuce, spring mix, etc.), tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, ham/turkey, provlone/swiss/mozzerella/white & yellow american cheese/, pickles, and sometimes black olives. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I like to have my subs with a small soup of brocolli and cheese or chicken noodles. and water. I tend to stay away from soda as much as possible these days (it's healthier for you) (OOOhhhhh I just thougth about another thread Idea, inspired by yours Nanno!)
Nanno Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 i had my very first sub the other day and it was yummy, i know i'd shared one with wayne before but my god they're tasty little buggers
soldier of fortune Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Subway subs are fantastic, i love em. Footlong on Parmesan Oregano Roast Chicken Breast or Steak And Cheese Cheese Red Onion, Green Pepper Pickle Jalapeno Southwest sauce Yum man i'd love one now!
Jont Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Yesterday, I had a pitta bread toasty, stuffed with cheese, baked beans in tomato sauce with a teaspoon of added mango chutney, a couple of sausages and two chopped green chillies. I can't say if it's the best sandwich ever, but it had a definite effect on me.
alive she cried Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 yeah jont, first thing i thought of was when i read this thread title was that in England saying sambo is the same as saying nig**r. Anyway Subway sandwiches, sweet jesus they're perfect. Mine is, foot long, wheat bread, sweet onion chicken teriyaki, lettuce, green peppers, and it's gotta be drenched in southwest sauce. Aw man I'd kill for one right now
Nanno Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 You can't beat a sausage sandwich with loads of tomato ketchup at the weekend with a big mug of sugary tea
The NZA Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 nothing beats a philly cheesesteak done right, my opinion.
FireDownBelow Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Tuna with some ranch and vinegar for that extra kick. Shredded cheese and some jalapeno chips.

soldier of fortune Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Sounds awesome, i'm fucking starving, 12 minutes til lunch time. Think i'm gonna have a Club Sandwich on Wholegrain with a pot of tea.

Nothin better to fill you up at lunchtime. Spars finest range eh? Anyway, made this the other night as a late snack. On Ciabatta Bread. Sirloin Steak cooked Medium - Medium Well Raw Onions Dijon Mustard Savage
crimsonfire Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Is cheese on toast considered a sambo? Cos it is in my book and its awesome.
Spicy McHaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 hmmmm foot long subway, the bread is italian herb and cheese, meatball marinara with cheese and toasted, lettuce, onions, pickles and ranch dressing!!!!! YUS!!!
crimsonfire Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I prefer the same but with jalapenos and southwest chipotle sauce.
Spicy McHaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 i substitute pickles for jalapenos depending on mood....
alive she cried Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 how can one go into subway and not leave with southwest sauce in their sandwich? i'd love to have a night of doin' shots of southwest sauce, we should do that when i go up.
Spicy McHaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 tbh i never tried that sauce but i shall be in subway tomorrow so i know what im doing, as long as they dont have a problem with a drunken pirate ordering food...
alive she cried Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 you are ordering this Mine is,foot long, wheat bread, sweet onion chicken teriyaki, lettuce, green peppers, and it's gotta be drenched in southwest sauce. Aw man I'd kill for one right now
Spicy McHaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 ah sure, why not im always up for new things...giggidy haha
the division of joy Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 im a honey mustard man... but the southwest sauce is the fuckin sex on the steak and cheese roll.... always gotta be on honey oat, with onions and pickles and peppers (not jalapeno)
Jont Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Canned tuna, break it up and stir in a spoon of mayonaise, add some diced tomotoes to the mix, have that between a couple of slices of lightly toasted brown bread. There, you have a sandwich, make two and you have a meal.
Aartemys Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 You can never go wrong eating a Rueben...corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese & thousand island dressing on rye...my tastebuds are watering...
