Byrne's known for being an opinionated cock at conventions, but a) he's put in years of quality that's still some of the best books like X-men saw, and b) he's a tyrant of his own forum - and to be fair, i go signing up to his, buckley, anybody's forum just to shit on them and get banned, no bitching there. It was the idea that Jesus would return, but it was only a tease because he was only here to check out fried twinkies. That's genuinely funny, and it's different from just have Jesus randomly appear in lieu of a real joke. Personally, I don't know why think because an issue about Tim Buckley's character? Did Tim Buckley as someone on Hondo's on a date? Is he asking one of us to spot him a few hundred bucks? Is he asking one of us to co-sign on a mortgage? Is he running for a seat on the local school board in an upcoming election? Cause if he's just a guy trying to making a living writing and drawing comics on his own terms, I thinking I can comfortably file this under shit that I don't care about. The ONLY thing I'm saying is that the bigger points (the more crazy stuff) is unsubstantiated at best circumstantial at most. You can't make those kinds of accusations without substantive proof, Nick. If he wanted to, he could sue those other guys for libel and at the least win a cease and desist. I'm not writing off his DB-ness: he was being a jerk. I'm talking about the things we know to be true, like the wiki page, not things that are unproven even remotely, like the 16 yr old girl. How many times have I been accused of things here and have only answered with 'I will not justify that with a response'? Does that make me guilty of the action, refusing to deny it? That's absurd. MetalHeart Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 (edited) PS Ctrl+Alt+Del has pulled out the big guns for major likage: In the meantime, we have given the smaller kitten, tentatively named River (we're not sure if its a boy or girl... we think its a girl) a home in my guest bedroom. Until she is checked out by a vet (we have an appointment this week), she will remain quarantined and away from the dogs. She's young enough (10-12 weeks is our guess) that I feel confident that even though she is a wild cat, with a little bit of patience she can still be socialized. She's made a lot of progress over just the past few days, taking right to using the litter box, eating cat food, and even being cuddly and playful. We'll get her checked out, handle any medical problems she may have, get her started on all of her vaccinations before making the decision, but I'm pretty confident we'll give her a home here. If we can manage to trap the sibling we'll do the same, or at least socialize it and then find it a good home. There was a comic he did that dealt with one of the main characters having a miscarriage it was a play at drama that went a bit too far and now everyone and their dog is pointing out that as why it sucks. Don't get me wrong some of them are pretty funny but it's just a case of... how was it described in the Lorelei thread, antagonizing him until he shows his "true" colors.
