  1. Ol' Cassidy and his complete collection of Captain America trading card collection! There's a few thoughts I have in terms of the Tulip casting. * At least it's not Laurie Holden * given how much frontal nudity we can expect we could have done worse! ;) * Two strong, white female leads recast as African American actresses now. What's up with that?
  2. Titus Burgess was used in 30 Rock too, to great effect. Jane Krakowski is basically a real housewife version of Jenna Maroney, works too. I think the biggest 30 Rock vibe/influence comes from the soundtrack. Only a few eps in so far and loving the shit out of this show!
  3. The only thing kept me sane through the first eps on offer were Bendis saying 'this is a reimagining' over and over in my head. I'd written a whole bullet-point post about my thoughts but they all came back to one central statement: They've spiked everything that made the book unique to create a tv cop drama that tv viewers will probably find interesting. The only praise I have is for Deena Pilgrim.
  4. I watched ep 1 and I guess it was lost on me? There just wasn't anything there to keep me interested. Based on the praise I'll press on at another opportunity though.

    Rock Band 4

*sadly plays keytar* Just like every other 80's icon I imagine. It shits me that suddenly back-compating peripherals is suddenly an option. Whoever brokered the deal with Cthulu to resurrect the franchise was smart.
  6. ^dated as fuck. After thinking on the fact that i like tits of any size and shape, I think I'ma vote tits. I mean I likes some arse but, not all of 'em.
  7. It takes equal dedication for a man to cultivate a truly remarkable pair of tits tho, let me tell you.
  8. Hey videos: Y U NO EMBED NO MO? Anyways- Highly relevant link right there. It's a toughy on which i refuse to vote without further discourse on pros and cons. Before Nicki Minaj though I was always of the belief that, wherever you stand on the matter it's harder to fake a good arse than a nice set of tits.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlaPT08Tmxc I'm surprised noone is discussing this. It's a fun 4v1 monster hunter type deal(no Maldron, not that Monster Hunter) that reminds me a lot of the Genesis version of Jurassic Park- giving you the choice of playing as the monster or one of four character classes. I rented it for the weekend after being hyped, then jerked around with beta access for PS4- I haven't gotten to play a whole lot over the weekend but completed a few tutes and some SP missions. Obviously the model is keyed to multiplayer- this is something I would be all over as a regular crew game either LAN or online- but it has a surpisingly sophisticated SP set up as well, with missions taking place over a five day series of events where various combinations of wins/losses create new variables in the form of handicaps and advantages for yourself as monster or hunter. If anyone else is playing it let me know cause I'd really dig playing this with other people, the set-up creates more of a team feel than anytrhing else I've played MP-wise. The rental has guaranteed my purchase for PS4 but it's all a matter of finding time...
  10. I sat on Dawn for ages because came across as 28 weeks later level of shitty sequel, but that was so friggin' great! Feel free to correct me but i feel like that was the best x-men movie I've ever seen too.
  11. You gotta watch three as IMO it's the best season yet. That being said I preferred Season one over two on the basis of two was far too busy for my liking. Unsure if anyone is watching the show currently but season four, which had the potential to be the best season yet thanks to the winning setup of a travelling freakshow has been the lamest to date. This show went from Game of Thrones level fervour in the House of Garret to something below walking Dead even where we've just started playing catch up every few weeks.
  12. Alright gents well I'll step back into the fold @ Season 2 and post back with impressions in the relevant thread.

Well you fellas just named my non-existent bbq company: Meh-SKEET-eh BBQ: we'll never tell what's in the rub.
  14. Keeping it broad in appeal, I reckon at least a two season courtship with spoilerfruitsoflabourspoilerdun probably being a season 3 opener or cliffhanger. Also can we safely assume that DD castings of characters like the Night Nurse, Ben Urich, The Owl, etc will also spill over into these other series? What might even be a little interesting is the different relationships the titular characters have with the 'community pool' of street level characters- ie Owlsley might start out as a patron to Cage or Jones, Murdoch'd obviously know the score, and then you might expect to hear about the death of jack Murdoch on Alias and how that story is approached. This is a really cool opportunity to give the marvel screen universe some real depth and illustrate how rich the tapestry can be without losing accessibility. That being said, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was an op to do the same and it just kinda shit the bed IMO.

^Truth. My smoke rings make ya weak at the knees. On a side note- has anyone else observed that food blargh seems at first glance like the perfect name for an eating disorder forum?

Maxing out my BBQ game since I bought a smoker and new grill. Thusfar have had more success with chicken than the Pork ribs I smoked last weekend, keen to get a brisket in there this weekend. If anything worth reporting comes of it I'll find the relevant thread- because there has to be one.
  17. Just read this entire run, and had the same hesitation to continue after Fraction left but glad I persevered Such a great book all the way through!
  18. Incase it hasn't been said elsewhere on Hondos(I've been known to shout it at strangers on the bus): I fucking LOVED Superior Spiderman. I jumped on near the end of the run, but everything from mad scientist Peter Parker to gang warfare with Norman Osbourn and the unexpected emotional growth Otto went through as he assimilated Parker's life tickled my balls like the ladies at the rub & tug I used to go to. And so even with the addition of Cindy Moon and the direction Slott has taken Peter(the unwitting CEO, poor guy) I was devastated to lose the Superior Spidey. Imagine my elation when I started reading Edge of Spiderverse then, to find him heading up a team of multiverse spidermen. Sadly he's not gelling well with the 'other teams' though so we'll see where he lands post-event I guess. I'm hesitant to read the tie-in/other team books like Scarlet Spiders and Spider-stab-force but the main books have been bloody solid so far.
  19. Quoted for agrees. Also I may be behind on the times here but :welcomeback: Great book, I think the standout for me so far was the Christmas special- which is probably odd but I love that meta show-within-comic type of thing and this really fleshed out the role of a regular guy on a squad of variously-powered metahumans in a more insightful way than say, Batman has ever been assessed in the JLA.
  20. I find myself just wanting to get involved in every little dispute and power struggle. I mean when I say, after a year of FPS/MMO this was a delightful little jolt of fun much in the same way Second Son was earlier in the year.
  21. Goddamn I hate Q3/Q4 of any year that's not a console launch. Shadow of Mordor is probably tyhe funnest thing I've played in a while, Destiny grind. Disney Infinity2.0, Borderlands Pere-seeq, FIrst Light and as of tomorrow Sunset Overdrive will all be collecting dust while I faff about shanking orks.
  22. HAWP is pretty great. Probably deserves a thread.
