Keth
That was pretty much my reaction. I had heard that director's name before, but never bothered to look it up. Just read a review and they mentioned both of those and there was that pause of "nuh uh...." If anything, it'll be sweet to see what other projects they give this guy. Keth
5 fan theories that make classic movies better The top was never Cobb's totem -- it was his wedding ring all along. This is based on the fact that, every time we see Cobb's hand in the dream world, he happens to have the ring on it; you can see it in the opening scene, and again in that . The NZA
do we have a thread for Expendables? couldn't find it Sylvester Stallone Considering Mel Gibson to Direct 'Expendables 3'? While director Clint Eastwood once wryly suggested that he might take a role behind the camera rather than in front of it for the action sequel The Expendables 3. However, that turned out to be more of a joke than anything. The only solid news for the gestating sequel has Jackie Chan taking a role, and Sylvester Stallone is still interested in getting Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Nicolas Cage in on the action (and Snipes just recently got out of jail). But what about a director? Well, Stallone made a joke on Twitter about a director for The Expendables 5 (apparently skipping the fourth film), and that turned into a serious inquiry. Stallone wrote on Twitter, "What about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES FIVE???" But then he immediately followed up with "No , I was kidding about [that] but seriously, what about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone? Curious..." Could Stallone really be testing the waters for Gibson to direct the sequel? He hasn't directed anything since Apocalypto in 2006, and that would be quite a high profile return behind the camera. Gibson knows how to make a grand scale film like Braveheart and even The Passion of the Christ, but this would definitely be the most action he's ever directed. Hoenstly, I think this sounds like a great idea, especially if that means Gibson gets to make a cameo. Thoughts? haven't seen any of em yet, but controversy aside, i think Mel's a bit more talented than this kinda project calls for also:

Mr. Hakujin
I read that article from the Birdman link twice and it still doesn't make sense to me. It's all gibberish and crazy talk about a Broadway play and not one mention of an attorney who works for a lunatic w/ an eyepatch named Phil Ken Sebben.
