That's three lists with considerable overlap. That list has alot of awesomeness that the other lists didn't have: Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Ram Jam Pearl Jam, Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, REM, Green Day, Cranberries, Stones, Lenny Kravitz, (new?) Rage, GNR and Van Halen.

The misspelling of Janis Joplin gives me a little pause as to the authenticity, but I'm having fun speculating.

Black Betty - Ram Jam: possibly one of the most overdue song that comes to mind. short, fun for everybody.

Santaria - Sublime: yes. we need more sublime.

You Oughta Know - Alanis Morrisette: i want this, just for jax on the mic.

Chop Suey - System of a Down: SOAD is another sorely needed group here.

Machinehead - Bush: the 90s fan in me really loves seeing this, even tho bush's lyrics make no sense whatsoever.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies - Panic at the Disco: huh, not often i get a song that's currently on the radio. odd.

Waiting on the World to Change - John Mayer: please let this be fake. i like some songs by Mayer but not at all this one, and none that id want to see here.

Man in the Box - Alice in Chains: another given.

Ramblin' Man - The Allman Brothers: almost makes up for....

One Step Closer - Linkin Park: Ugh, this is gonna be the next Weezer/"can someone else sing this one?" track, i can feel it.

American Woman - The Guess Who: very much want more Guess Who, and im happy they didnt bend and go with the crappy Kravitz version.

(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones: happy to see this , but anyone else really hoping for sympathy for the devil?

Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash: :2T: this game is bought day 1 if this is true. what my life needs is more socially acceptable reasons to drink & sing cash in front of you all.

Bring Me To Life - Evanescence: ...

Spoonman - Soundgarden: another for the 'inevitable' file.

Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails: fuck yes. pretty hate machine, broken, downward spiral, any of that old shit as full DLC would make a mint.

Rodeo - ?Rage Against the Machine?: any other rodeo song's not worth it, so hopefully its rage.

Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits: another good pic. waiting for the inevitable "money for nothin" cause itd just be fun.

Testify - Rage Against the Machine: that's what im talkin' bout. its not quite sleep now in the fire, but its close enough.

November Rain - Guns N' Roses: i do so love this song, but uh, cant the drum man just take a nap?

Comfortably Numb - !!!!!!PINK FLOYD!!!!!!!: good to see Floyd.

Everything from impossible sounds pretty decent and impossible. christ but i hope this list is halfway legit.

I was unaware you NEEDED more socially acceptable reasons to drink & sing cash in front of us.

Sympathy for the Devil is great song, but it's like 6 minutes long with about only 1 minute of guitar. There are lots of Stones songs, including Satisfaction, that work well for the full band (Brown Sugar, Street Fighting Man, Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Woman, It's Only Rock N' Roll, Happy, just to name some of the big hits).

Do you know any Rage song called Rodeo? I'm hoping this means Rage is recording new material, but I'm really just setting my self up for disappointment.

Yeah that's the big question. Ask Shane sitting near me, I nearly rubbed one out on the spot when I saw that kit. Once I realised the extended cymbals aren't infact new inputs i calmed dow some. If it's compatible with GH4 though, that shit is so preordered it's not funny.

$300, but all metal and supposedly works as an actual electric drum set. man, that's nice, but the price is rough...and as for GH crossover, we'll have to wait & see what dickery activision pulls off.

I would be very disappointed if we got 'Dayman, Fighter of the Nightman' by Electric Dream Machine, when clearly, 'Ballad of the Nightman' by Chemical Toilet is the superior song. Just look at these lyrics.

Charlie

Also:

Night Man, sneaky and mean

Spider inside my dreams

I think I love you

You make me wanna cry

You make me wanna die

I love you, I love you, I love you,

I love you, I love you

Night Man

Every night you come into my room

And pin me down with your strong arms

You pin me down, and I try to fight you

You come inside me

You fill me up

And I become the Night Man...

It's just 2 men sharing the night

It might seem wrong but it's just right

It's just 2 men sharing each other

It's just 2 men like loving brothers

One on top and one on bottom

One inside and one is out

One is screaming, he's so happy

The other's screamin' a passionate shout

It's the Night Man

I'm feeling so wrong and right, man

I'm feeling so wrong and right, man

I can't fight you, man

When you come inside me

And pin me down with your strong hands

And I become the Night...

The passionate, passionate Night Man

They took you, Night Man, and you don't belong to them

They locked me in a world of darkness without your sexy hands

And I miss you, Night Man, so ba-a-ad

As for the chances of seeing it in RB2, past Harmonix games have included Trogdor by Strongbad, Because, It's Midnite by Limozeen, Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight by Spinal Tap and Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld by Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld. So you never know. I'm been hoping for What Would Brian Boitano Do? by DVDA.

I forgot, they just released a free song for Rock Band, Promise Land by Vesuvius, a fictional band from the upcoming movie, The Rocker, starring Rainn Wilson (Dwight from the US 'The Office').
they made a t-shirt over at cafepress with the nightman lyrics.
Man, that is so funny when you read the lyrics to Nightman.I'm about to make a Nightman VS Dayman poll.
