Movie & TV Blargh

I don't think this warrants it's own thread, but has anyone seen Snuff Box? British semi-sketch comedy show. I've watched the first few eps on Netflix, and it is hard to describe. It has a plot (kinda), but then it randomly just goes off on tangents. Still worth a watch if you like odd comedy shows.

for the Baytor who has everything

“We had lunch with Sigourney [Weaver] who was telling us that there actually used to be an R-rated version of that movie which was awesome. It was the director’s cut and it was R-rated and everybody was swearing and there were sex scenes, and the whole thing. They didn’t know what to do with it, so they had to re-edit the whole thing and made it what it is today. We were like, ‘How do we get our hands on the R-rated version of Galaxy Quest?’ She said ‘I don’t know!’ and we were like, ‘Come on, Sigourney!’ ”

Just announced for a Christmas Day, 2013 release last week, Platinum Dunes' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to feature a very non-traditional origin for its reptilian heroes. In fact, producer Michael Bay hints that the turtles may not be mutants at all.

Word arrives via Stuff We Like and a video of Bay speaking at last week's Nickelodeon Upfront in New York where he states:

"When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable."

To be directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will feature a script from Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco.
