Well as a proud wii owner i've yet to buy anything from the Virtual Console, but according to wiki here's whats currently available in America. modnboy
Nice link, look forward to some of those games, I'd say MarioKart would be good fun.
soldier of fortune
Mario Kart, in all its forms, is an excellent game! I can't wait for that personally!
Senshik
Mariokart on the Wiii!?!??! That sounds more than fun! btw, welcome to hondos! Hope you stay!
Reverend Jax
I can't want for a Mario Kart Wii (not VC) game. After playing Excite Truck (or whatever it's called) at EB Games usign the Wiimote as a steering wheel, I'm psyched at the possiblities with the a Kart game designed or the Wii. Double Dash is a interesting twist, but I'd personally liek to see a return to one player/one kart.
The NZA
Smash Bros - Snake is of course awesome (he's going hand to hand?), as is Kid Icarus. Titties-out Samus is alright, who's the small knight guy? Got my great demo with Jax's setup a few days last week...Zelda, Trauma Center & WarioWare: all solid. As for Mario Kart, i dug the double dash feature, its cool to have 1 driver, 1 shooter. i think its gonna be that way again from what i read...ive no idea how they plan on having big online matches and not lagging like crazy though. to modnboy. wiki keeps a good list of upcoming Virtual Console games. Speaking of...who's planning on getting what? I really want ToeJam & Earl, possibly some SNES ones like SimCity and Castlevania IV, definitely Mario 64 ( ), Gunstar Heroes, Bonk, and that should do it for now, till more NES ones come out (Punch-Out!!!, Kid Icarus, Mario 3). Shit, there's a lotta SNES ones i have that i just dont feel like loading up (how sad is that?), Link to the Past, Super Metriod, Mario World, Contra III ( ) and thats before you look at Mario Kart 64, Bonanza Bros, Comix Zone, Streets of Rage...fuck, ima lose like a whole paycheck one day to my childhood. PS The Nintendo Wii: so good, even sony advertises it.
The NZA
Guess who's joined the club as of 11AM today!? got the system and one controller. that's wii sports down, hopefully zelda this week or so, and im debating getting trauma center used offa gamefly, like i said. Wario Ware, eventually, and a ton of the virtual console games next paycheck. friend code forthcoming. this is gonna be awesome.

The NZA
thanks man, should be online by this week if all goes well. After megacon, i believe Newt should join us, mebbe Skeet one day too. By the year's end, 2T's GTA golf overkill might leave him open to the prospect as well. ps my big, fuzzy TV doesnt have composite ports. anyone know of an s-video option? Bishop? im wondering how much difference itd make in picture quality, was debating it for this and mebbe my PS2 just for the hell of it. I think ive seen 3rd party cables on Ebay. (that's promo art kotaku found for the virtual console, somehow...cool huh?) My most-wanted list from the Wii's virutal console (here's to hoping they release em one day:) Bubble Bobble (NES), while were at it, Adventures of Lolo, Wizards & Warriors Chrono Trigger (SNES) Zombies ate my Neighbors (SNES) i need to write konami a letter. Contra III (SNES) Streets of Rage 1-2 (Genesis) uh...Luigi's Mansion, somehow. Pikmin too... fuck this its backwards compatible and im being cheap. Flashback/Valis III/El Viento (Genesis sleeper hits) Earthbound (SNES) Maniac Mansion (NES) Golgo 13 (NES) Spy vs Spy (NES) Cosmic Fantasy III (Turbo) Links Awakening/few other GBA type games Shadownrun/Snatcher/games that wont ever make it, in all likelyhood more as i think of em. I know a few there are scheduled to drop (SOR, Contra III) but even so, i want dates. ps NINTENDO'S CARLESNESS CAUSES DEATH.
soldier of fortune
Some good calls there nick my man. You could get a RGB Scart, that'd be as good as the S-Video if you've a spare slot. The composite is crap, i've to get the scart one myself,
bishopcruz
gratz on the Wii. Hopefully gunsmith will get his soon, as that will make me a happy panda. Well, mainly to play Zelda.
Jables
I'm real-fuckin' sad. My TV blew up last night, and sure I can plug my 360 into the lcd in the bedroom, but at the new place that'll be in the lounge & I'll be left with nothing. 'Sides from that, me & that TV had some real good times together. We took our first exploration of San Andreas together, we beat the shit outta Magneto & some of the porn that TV saw? Shit'd give 2Track goosebumps. Here's to you, TV. You'll be missed.
The NZA
jesus, hit around 500 points in boxing and the fights get rough! this is awesome. its gonna take a lot not to buy Mario 64 and ToeJam & Earl tonight. They just got Zelda: link to the past, too. ps be good to see you on board, happy panda, after all the nintendo griping and all. Dont just stay for Zelda tho; ima need neighbors when the madness that is Animal Crossing comes out. PPS i understand the light's supposed to stay orange (i think) to show its online when its off or whatever, but is it still supposed to light up blue around the disc tray when its off? The NZA
You call yourself a fanboy. I don't see Super Metroid, Secret of Mana or ActRaiser anywhere on that list. You wound me, sir! I only left off Super Metroid cause wiki says its confirmed. You should check out that list, its got shit i wasnt aware of. Secret of Mana's a good example of a classic game that id love to see, but wont pay $8 or whatever for....im trying to replace my old cartridges, but the RPGs that i spent months damn near maxing out like i did that one? I simply wont do it again. Now, Actrasier, you had a good call. That was an early rental for me and i loved it. commentry/agreeing with your list: A Boy and His Blob (never played this, was it good? same question with StarTropics) Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (shit yes) Kid Icarus (its on its way) EarthBound (fuck! this, i will replay.) Legend of the Mystical Ninja (oh my god, i forgot about this rental too, was great fun) Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (id be tempted to see this one so i could finish it) Mario Paint (true! but i want a newer version too) Super Castlevania IV (isnt this one out already?) Super Punch Out!! Contra III: The Alien Wars Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (yessss) For the N64: GoldenEye Perfect Dark was good? and original Paper Mario, im curious bout. adding to my list: (NES) Wizards & Warriors (Genesis) ESWAT Streets of Rage (its out soon tho) Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker fuck i miss that game Starflight Taz-Mania, Quackshot, Aladdin (surprisingly good disney titles) (SNES) Chrono Trigger Mario Kart Mario All-Stars (doubtful cause they wanna release the originals, but i liked the update) Final Fantasy V & VI
Reverend Jax
A Boy & His Blob was one of my favorite NES titles. You had to go around and this blob would follow you, adn you had to feed him jellybeans (of which you had a limited supply), and different flavors turned the Blob into different things. Nowhere in the game of instruction manual did it tell you which flavors did what, and though you could write it down, there was usually a good dnemonic devices to help you rememer. For example: Strawberry = Bridge (just remember, Strawbridge), Apple = Jack (like for jacking up a car) (just remember, Apple Jacks), Tangerine = Trampoline (sound similar), Vanilla = Umbrella (sound similar), Cola = Giant Bubble (Cola is carbonated), Licorice = Ladder. Anyway there were like 30 flavors. I always which someone would make a next gen version with a 3D blob, but noone ever did.
