Jables
First time I've seen it, and it was fucking awesome. I'm so ghey for every part of this right now.
Mr. Hakujin
^^i've never seen it either. always looked kinda chee-z to me. but the trailer for the sequel was pretty killer.
Jables
Man, in a society that's been molested by the Matrix Trilogy, I come to resent the Watchowskis for fucking around with a whole trilogy to say what this movie says in 90 too-short minutes. Bearing in mind though, that I'm the guy that's an absolute sucker for theological analogues & microcosms(ie the marble & locker sequences at the end of MIBs I & II, the 'tooth society' ep of the Simpsons, etc). Seriously, I could fap over this movie I loved it so much.
crimsonfire
Yeah it was pretty sweet. Always gave it a wide berth cos I figured it was just silly 80's cheese but how wrong was I.

Mr. Hakujin
saw inglourious basterds last night. interesting film and text-book tarantino. fans should definitely see this one in a theater. also, it's not really a WWII film, but a fantasy film in much the same way Kill Bill was--ya know, set in a hyper-reality. Mr. Hakujin
Do the Nazis shoot geysers of blood at the mere sight of a blade? No, not so much a hyper-reality or fantasy world in that sense. I don't know how to explain it better w/out going into spoiler territory. This world isn't truly revealed to be a 'fantasy" world until the end of the movie where it erupts into an orgy of death. Except for Jackie Brown, which I love deep deep down in my despite and because of.
crimsonfire
Apocalypse Now I finally showed JZA what he was missing. Baytor don't even say anything...not one thing.
Keth
finally saw the ENTIRE star wars series from ep:1 to 6. good movies although i dont really see why people got all pissy at the prequels.well there is jar jar but that is a given lol. plus Lucas directed ALL the prequels whereas he didnt ep's 5&6. all of them were good though (I will say episode three was the most relevent prequel). not spectacular but highly entertaining

Lucas didn't direct 5 & 6, maybe he's been the problem this whole time.

This is gonna be awesome. I may have liked the originals, but i DO see why folks hated the new, very out of place, special effects in the original trilogy. WTF was that having Hayden Christensen (sp) being super imposed over dead Vader at the end of Jedi? why did he suddenly get younger than kenobi and yoda? Shit- He's right. Lucas didn't direct 5 & 6, maybe he's been the problem this whole time. haha yeah that was my thought. no way could Lucas make Ewoks be that badass

The only thing wrong with Apocalypse Now is the assholes who did the complete Dossier version decided to put the movie on two disks. Good movie. Go with peace. Mr. Hakujin
Inglorious Basterds. I liked it a lot. Some of the dialogue was top notch. Agreed, and Brad Pitt's delivery was great. Some of the expressions alone had me cracking up. He just had this constant agitation about him, like he's pissed because at that exact moment he's doing something other than killing or maiming a Natzee. Man, that's every Tarantino movie. Except for Jackie Brown, which I love deep deep down in my despite and because of. I'd only disagree slightly there. I can't really go into the difference between this one and his other films w/out feeling like I'd spoil something for ya. Just get yer arse to the theater already and see it and we'll talk. Going tomorrow, then I will know. Of course now you've built it up so I'm going to find the ending disappointingly vanilla. Damn you Hakujin....
