Mr. Hakujin
Agreed, Panch. Next thing you know he'll be posting a fan trailer of Ghost Rider 2.
Iambaytor
Yeah... neither one of you really have any room to be high-roading here. Just saying.
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Pretty fuckin good. If there was ever a Red Dead Redemption film, this would be it. Or at least an accurate portrayal of the world.
C_U_SPACECOWBOY
Hope you like it, man. Fuck this movie! Fuck it right in the ear! Jesus Christ! Pretty fuckin good. If there was ever a Red Dead Redemption film, this would be it. Or at least an accurate portrayal of the world. I see you are burning right through that stack of DVDs I lent you!! APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Yup. Half way done. Thanks again, man.
Mr. Hakujin
Just saw Blue Valentine. Decent film, but it's about as uplifting as watching an elderly woman slit her wrists while listening to Puff the Magic Dragon.
amynicole
watched two today. hall pass was not near as funny as i thought it would be, and eat pray love the movie sucked, while the book was decent. why does that not surprise me? APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Eh, but I think that was someone else's review, too.
the division of joy
Full on ridiculous, and as a result, hilariously brilliant.
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Dude, you totally need to create a sex act with a poorly done MS Paint job attached all involving Nic Cage and you'll be official.
the division of joy
Eh, that would be just plagarising thoughts of Hot Costner. Cage doesn't deserve that. Something epic may come. But it won't be a poorly constructed paint job.
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
No. Not like your Sig or anything.
the division of joy
That is slaghoundery at its finest. And not entirely taking someone elses idea and botching it.
Keth
Finally watched this last night and really liked it. I wish it had gone on a bit longer.
Iambaytor
IT was kind of a cozy catastrophe film, but it managed to stay suspenseful the whole way through. Last night, I went and saw Drive Angry. The 3D was pretty pointless but it was a fun, stupid, gory movie that reminded me how awesome Nicolas Cage and Billy Burke used to be in the 90s. William Fichtner even seemed to be channeling Christopher Walken from The Prophecy at points and Tom Atkins is always welcome to stride into any movie and play a cop whenever he wants. APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Omg! Instantly made it into my top ten movies ever. Seriously, this flick was flawless! Wow! I haven't had that good a time looking at laptop since... well, earlier while looking at porn... THREE thumbs up! ;)
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Over written and over acted, but entertaining. Walken, of course, is awesome.
Mr. Hakujin
Ms. H & I saw this one on Saturday and loved it. Props to DOJ as well who was heralding the film and OST for a while now on Hondo's. He was spot on w/ both. dogtooth This was an Oscar nominated foreign film, no? Is it on Netflix instant? Panch, I've been sitting on YIR for a while now. I'll dust it off this week and give it a look.
crimsonfire
Did you seethe first two? If so, did you like those two, and dislike this one? Seems if you saw the first two, you would know what you were getting into with the third. The first two were funny and had some sense of originality. Its like they just ran out steam and stopped trying for this one. Although they explicitly blame Fox for that and I believe them. This was the same crap Family Guy falls into every so often. Lame ass (and sometimes completely irrelevant) pop culture references and those irritating repetition jokes (Peters "hssss-aaaaah hssss-aaaaah" for instance) they've done to death at this stage. the division of joy
Not up to my usually high standards of Nic Cage films, but it has its merits.
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS
Panch, I've been sitting on YIR for a while now. I'll dust it off this week and give it a look. This is what it was for me: you know how Jim Carrey has tons of great movies, but Liar, Liar seems to be quietly the universal favorite? The film in his catalog that is just the fan's favorite even if its not his best? Youth in Revolt is like that to me. Cera's made Superbad and Scott Pilgrim, but this flick is quietly my favorite.
