the division of joy Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Subtle? a lot of the humour wasnt as in your face as the naked gun trilogy or the airplane duology... in my opinion anyway... Quote
Jont Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Ghostrider and U.S. vs John Lennon Please tell me that was a team-up, but don't tell me who won. Quote
Ganny McVagflaps Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 120 minutes of people dying. Also no Michael Moore around an hour. He does a voice-over but doesn't appear. There's not alot of jokes to be found in here, but I think it could be his best film. Now fuck this, I'm off to Cuba to score some oxycotin. Quote
Aartemys Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 (edited) I love John Cusack...4EVA!! Edited June 16, 2007 by Aartemys Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Yesterday I saw Paris, Je T'amie. It's a movie with 18 short films, with different directors and casts, all of which take place in Paris. Lots of different tones from romance, to comedy, to drama, to farce and even a vampire short. Some of the directors that I'm familiar with include The Coen Brothers, Alfonso Cuarón, Gérard Depardieu, Alexander Payne, Gus Van Sant and Wes Craven (who ironically DIDN'T do the vampire short). Some of the actors I know include Steve Buscemi, Willem Dafoe (as an imaginary cowboy), Nick Nolte, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Bob Hoskins, Elijah Wood, Alexander Payne (as the ghost of Oscar Wilde), Natalie Portman, and Gérard Depardieu. Good stuff. 120 minutes of people dying. Also no Michael Moore around an hour. He does a voice-over but doesn't appear. There's not alot of jokes to be found in here, but I think it could be his best film. Now fuck this, I'm off to Cuba to score some oxycotin. Fuck, you saw an advance screening? It looks good. Quote
