archangel
ok, here's the response I got. Tell me what you thinks (in specific, I'd like to hear from SiBob and Ruby since they're pros in this). Joel, Thank you for your interest in our services. We would be glad to print a demo shirt for you, but I think it would be better if we just provided you with a virtual proof instead of a physical one. The reason for that is because if we were to print you one single shirt, we would be printing it digitally. If we were printing around 25, we would be screen printing the front, and using thermo-film names and numbers on the back. Since we would be using two completely different printing methods to print your sample and your bulk order, your quality sample would be kind of pointless because it would be different from what you'd actually be getting when you placed the bulk order. Now don't be fooled by the word "digital". A lot of people assume since it sounds more futuristic that it is better than traditional screen printing. Wrong. With screen printing you are going to get a much brighter, more opaque, more durable print. The only reason we can't screen print 1 single shirt for you is because the process requires a lot of set up time. So we have a minimum of 12 pieces for screen printing. The only major benefit of digital printing is that you can get just one if you want. I would advise against using a digitally printed shirt as a sample for a shirt that will be screen printed. For 1 digitally printed shirt the price would be $22.95. For approximately 24 shirts with a 2-color screenprint on front, and 1 color names and numbers on back, the price would be $16.50 for S-XL, and $17.50 for XXL's and larger. Here is a link to the different fonts you can use for names and numbers: http://www.stahls.com/stahls/AID_player_pe...HLSAAV1B0K8K4Q6 EFV28654TGEF1C7 If you wanted to do 2 color names/numbers instead of 1-color, the price would be $5 more each. I have attached virtual proofs of what the shirts would look like. Please let me know if you still want a physical sample. soldier of fortune
Again, The $'s ain't the issue, White Looks good on Calvin Klein models, not Pudgy Irish Blokes, whose skin tone is matching of the white tee. Good work Joel, looks like a viable alternative to me, anyway, how much did i send over?
archangel
White Looks good on Calvin Klein models, not Pudgy Irish Blokes, whose skin tone is matching of the white tee. Or fat ass cubans. You're preaching to the choir there, SoF lol Again, just waiting on Nick and SiBob/Ruby to give their ok and we can move in this direction. Silent Bob
Ok, hold on, why can this place do black but the first place can't?
archangel
because of this: Just like traditional screen printing, digital printing of light colored ink on dark colored garments requires an underbase of white ink to be printed first. However, the white ink prints very slowly and the ink is expensive. Therefore, a different pricing schedule is required for dark shirts. That's why he doesn't even give the option. That's what the front of the shirt looks like. for our options on the back, we can click on the link and choose the design for the lettering. I'm thinking Varsity, which looks like this: Using Nanno as an example:

Silent Bob
Good, that's perfect. I have an .ai version with a white outline around the logo, I think it'd work better for a dark shirt. Are the shirts meant to be black or is that dark gray in the example the actual color?
The NZA
i like what im seeing, so yeah, its got my blessing, long as all the pudgies are content (i keed). if SB ok's it, it should be gold. speaking of, i know i asked this man, but what's your avatar/sig from again? Silent Bob
Are you saying that because I'm a graphic guy or because I'm pudgy? Nevermind, both works. (the avatar and sig are both from the trailer for Starcraft II, by the way)
archangel
speaking of, i know i asked this man, but what's your avatar/sig from again? Starcraft, you Non Believer! Good, that's perfect. I have an .ai version with a white outline around the logo, I think it'd work better for a dark shirt. Are the shirts meant to be black or is that dark gray in the example the actual color? Black, that's just a proof. If it has your blessing, then we'll move forward with this in it's place. 16.50 is the new price, and for us Plus-Sized Hondonians it's $17.50/shirt. Just tell me whether you want a. the arched name or the straight name and b. whether you want the lettering in White or Colored and we'll place the order in a week. Nick, I'm gonna need you for that, though, cos we have to place the order online.

archangel
agreed. yea, they do accept credit cards...but I don't want to move until we have all the cash so we can then run and buy a ton of PS3/360 games and laugh at how stupid these saps are the shirts.
