Reverend Jax
You two may be right, but I think we are going to see Rick become an authoritarian fascist now. He's gonna go dark. We will see.
The NZA
oh yeah, that's a definite possibility. he's been pushed to the edge forever now, and thinks he has a vision to "save" everyone, rebuffed by the guilt of the family he (rightfully) ditched. that might not be a bad call at all, though it might take a bit - wasnt that long ago he crossed the line and michonne had to reign him in because of the aliens and shit
Jables
This book needs another villian like that Mexican governer. This book with all it's character shit is about as interesting to me as human interest stories on daytime television. Someone to like, someone to hate. Doesn't need to be clearly defined, but let's maybe see more than 24 pages of people crying into their soup and zombie's head's being hacked, because that shit got old 40 issues ago. The NZA
i forgot; wife-beaters aren't villains in AU.
Jables
don't call my way of life villianous you judgemental fuck! Man, I said villian like the Mexican Governer. This book's fucking rife with emotional cripples and flawed characters. Again, we have entire programs here dedicated to human interest stories just full of men who kiss their wives with their fists and fellas who talk to their dead loved ones on disconnected telephones. Generally it's the government's fault for not providing enough money for the mentally infirm or youth programs, but I digress. The only time this book interests me and my lonely perspective, is when there's an external threat. Right now I observe that this book is boring me again and I'd probably drop it like I did before, but chances are something awful's waiting in the wings just for the purpose of you guys getting to smarmily tell me I should pick it up again. crimsonfire
Anyone catch issue.....I'm going to say....90? I'm not entirely sure. The issues are understandably delayed crossing the Atlantic. Still has never occurred to me to have it reserved. What did everyone make of that damp squib of a coup? I'm a cunthair away from agreeing with JZAs earlier sentiments. Shit needs to start happening. Mr. Hakujin
Yeah, lame non-coup was lame. Kirkman is obviously holding his cards for the big 100th issue. Still, since Carl's 'incident" there hasn't been much going on.
Thelogan
Oh, I think shit will be hitting fans soon enough. Personally theory: I think sending large groups of people out to gather, instead of just one or two, is going to bite them in the ass. Some other group is going to wait until they're gone and assault the place.
crimsonfire
It's kind of horrible when you think about it. They're finally getting settled and shit but we all know it isn't going to last forever. That whole No Way Out arc wasn't even enough to upset things in a big way so whatever does happen is going to be serious. Reverend Jax
I always forget that to Australians and Irishmen, a zombie apocalypse in which all remnants of civilization have given way to a brutally savage hell scape where the only rule is 'survive another day'...isn't all the different from their regular day-to-day existence. No wonder this book is boring to them.
Iambaytor
I'm actually kind of enjoying the whole fucked up events not wiping the slate clean thing. I kind of want them to be happy for a while and it's not near as angsty as when they were in the prison so I support it.

No wonder this book is boring to them. I long for the days of the brutal hellscape. Right now its a microcosm of Desperate Housewives with only slightly more peril. crimsonfire
I hate double posting. Anyone catch #91 yet? That creepy figure looking at the village through binoculars at the end was very ominous indeed. Me and JZAs wish is undoubtedly going to come true. Reverend Jax
It could be a tease, y'know, it's actually a friendly person, but yeah, i think things are going to go down soon. With the show being as popular as it is, has Kirkman made any comments as to whether the book might ever go color, like maybe on issue 100? Reverend Jax
So, who likes the direction the last issue implied the series would take? Anyway, I'm sure some of you have already seen this, but this is the best quality motion comic I've yet seen.
Thelogan
I like the direction it's heading. Glad things aren't stagnating in town. I also, for some reason, expect them to be back on the road before too terribly long.
Thelogan
Paranoid Rick
Reverend Jax
Yeah, I'm glad that he seems to have gotten a grip by the end of the issue. Or maybe his paranoia will show itself to have been warranted and eventually trusting JC will be his biggest mistake.
Thelogan
Looks like we'll find out next issue, Jax. I have a sense of foreboding here. I fear Rick may have been right to trust his instincts. JC is just too much of a badass, I want to like him. And my emotions have been toyed with before.
Panch
I think the opposite. I think it's Carl's instincts that are dead on. Still, might be better storytelling your way.
alive she cried
I'm inclined to agree with Panch, but I hope I'm wrong. I trust Kirkman though, I'm certain whatever way he takes it will be the best option.
Panch
Rick is becoming the new Governor. There, I said it. Edited March 3, 2012 by Panch
Iambaytor
I thought that was fairly evident at this point. Least he's not dismembering people just to be a dick.
